What Causes Pain In The Lower Abdomen After A HSG Procedure?

Hello Doctor..I had my HSG 3 weeks ago and after the procedure I m having lower abdominal pain. I called the doctors office after 2 weeks and was put on antibiotics. It hurts me if I Walk or if there is any movement. Antibiotics don t seem to be helping me either. Please help.

Hello Dear
I evaluated your concern in depth .
* Pain lower abdomen is related to uterine cramping after dye insertion for
HSG procedure .
* You need antispasmodic tablet as Dicyclomine (20)mg or Drotaverine
(80)mg as Abdofast morning and evening after meals for 2-3 days .
* Check that you don`t have bleeding from vagina / bowel bladder habits
are normal & no fever .
