What Causes Pain In The Joints Of Hands That Aggravates Upon Working?

I am 27 yrs old and female ive recently started having pain in the joints of my hands and wrists . Its a throbbing almost cramping pain and hurts to make a tight fist and my knuckles turn an almost bruised color when they hurt . Its gets worse when I do things such as working in my garden or waitressing for longer than four hour . Could this be arthritis ? I m only 27 .

Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi,

How long this pain is there? Is it present on both sides? Any recurring fever or rash anywhere in body?

This can suggest arthritis if the pain is limited to joints, and is associated with swelling / heat / redness over the affected joints.

Try taking simple analgesics like paracetamol for few days. If the pain persists, kindly see your doctor for evaluation of the cause.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Muhammed Aslam T. K., Pediatrician
