What Causes Pain In The Inside Of Left Knee After Injury?

I have pain in the inside of my left knee after falling and hitting that area on a hard surface. The first 48 hours, it was difficult to even walk. Now, it hurts intermittently, mostly during the night, or if I have been sitting or standing for long periods of time. This occurred over two months ago. There is no swelling or popping in the area.

thank you for posting your query in healthcaremagic.com....

it seems that probably you have injured some ligament in your knee joint following fall....you have mentioned that you could not walk properly for 48hours following fall and have recovered slowly...now only there is intermittent pain...

well it seems that there is no major bony injury or major ligament tear or tendon rupture....otherwise the pain would have been excruciating and you would have problem with movement of knee joint....

however for the minor ligament injury that might have happened, it can heal on its own but it will be better to consult an ORTHOPAEDICIAN for some knee exercises and he may prescribe some medicine or physiotherapy...

dont worry....it does not look like any major ailment...

hope this was helpful....

you can come up with any further queries....

regards
