What Causes Pain In The Hip On The Left Side?

Hi . . . I have been having pain in my left hip , thigh area. . . . to were its hard to walk , lay down to sleep . What can be done to ease off the pain , besides pain pills ? My neurologist gave me Norco , but it made me feel like I was having a heart attack and it did not stop the pain. Does a steroid help the issue ? I am also missing my pulteritroy * glad

Hi,

I understand your concern and would explain that your symptoms could be relatd to chronic degeneration to the coxofemoral joint. For this reason, I recommend performing a joint X-ray study and checking inflammation tests (complete blood count, PCR, ESR).

Consulting with a Rheumatologist may be needed. Steroids may help improve the pain.
