What Causes Pain In The Feet And Legs After Stopping Cholesterol Medication?
I recently stopped taking my cholesterol medication, I was on it about a year and started having pain in my feet,legs, hips , I read up on the side affects which I had some of them, and I felt better after a few weeks and now the pain is back , I feel better when I m moving around but can t rest at night. Could this still be the side affects or something else

If one is on statins for controlling lipids, then there is a possibility of getting side effect like muscle pain and occasionally muscle weakness. However, this effect is seen in a few patients. But once the drug is stopped as done by you, there is no question of any residual effect, because the drug is removed from the system fairly rapidly. So if you are facing muscle pain in lower limbs, it is unlikely to be connected to the drug taken earlier. Thanks.
