What Causes Pain In The Feet And Ankles?

I have pain in my foot/ankle that I assumed was arthritis. However now I m feeling soft tissue pain as well as joint pain. It is hard for me to walk and affects my gate. It happens most during my morning walk and sometimes goes away for the rest of the day afterwards. Lately it has remained throughout the day. Could this be something serious like early onset of MS or MD?

Hello,

I had gone through your medical complaints and got a clear idea about your anxiety.

If there is no swelling, so the pain could be due to other causes (Deep vein thrombosis, nerve irritation like sciatica et cetera).

To know exact cause you have to go for below investigations:
1. Radiological examination
2. Neurological tests (nerve conduction tests)
3. Complete blood picture
4. ECG & 2D echo

If no abnormalities are found in the investigations, you can follow the below treatment:
1. Use anti-inflammatory drugs
2. Take vitamin tablets
3. Physiotherapy helps

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Vamsi Krishna Chittimoju
