What Causes Pain In The Chest Along With Bubbling Sensation?

Hello, I am a 26 year old male. When I was 14, I got a very weird and hard-to-describe spasm/pain/discomfort in my chest and middle back area. At the time I was convinced it was a heart attack, i felt like i was dying or rotting inside. It has come and gone hundreds of times since then but it is definitely getting more frequent, more intense and more unbareable. The pain is right between the chest and back, so much that I sometimes think it s related to my lungs (I have really under-control asthma). However, it also affects my jaws, mostly the right side. The worst part of this discomfort is feeling like there is some type of acid or boiling water travelling from my back to my chest to my jaws and I swear I can sometimes feel the bubbling of said acid right under my tongue on the right side. I find myself pushing against the back of my jaw with my thumb to relieve pressure. What I discovered with time is that COLD WATER helps a whole lot! Sometimes making me better and other times completely getting rid of the pain. I am worried that this is something serious however my Doc and several others I tried ro explain this to brush this off and call it something muscular and that I should be a little less stressed. I can feel that it has nothing to do with muscles. Any help?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

it looks like Angina( pain can be felt in the chest, back of the chest, shoulders, jaws, arms), it is triggered emotional stress, exercise, gastritis, smoking, intolerance to certain food, etc & can be relieved by relaxation. Angina is often confused with gastritis, avoid constipation & take plenty of water & fiber in your diet. PPIs once daily for 5-7 days can be of help. You can also take antacids.
Visit ER, you need to rule out any developing cardiac problems. Get Lipid function tests, CBC, ECG, Stress test, X-Ray, echocardiogram, CT done. You may have to go for MRI or Cardiac angiography if some pathology gets diagnosed. Maintain healthy lifestyle & weight, stay hydrated( maintain electrolyte balance), eat fresh fruits, veggies & boiled food until your blood counts show normal reports.

Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
