Hello,

You are having a little light headedness and are slightly dizzy. You are also having pain in the right side of the body radiating towards the back. Light headedness or dizziness is commonly due to hypotension, hypoglycemia, dehydration, low sodium-potassium level in the electrolyte system.

Take water and fluids adequately. Do not skip meals so that your vitals remain normal. Sometimes, vertigo may also cause dizziness. Get clinically examined by an ENT to confirm vertigo so that treatment can be started at the earliest. You are suggested to take acetaminophen or naproxen, one stat after food for relieve from pain. Applying pain relieving ointments or sprays and gentle massage or warm compression may be helpful.

Your symptoms may be indicative of neuropathy or sciatica. It can also be due to muscle strain/stress, nerve compression or due to incorrect posture. You are suggested to get connected to a Physical therapist, do exercises under observation to reduce pain.

If obese, do regular walking and maintain healthy weight. Avoid sleeping on sides for a couple of days till pain reduces. Get clinically examined by a GP, if required get imaging tests done so that treatment can be started at the earliest.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Nupur K., General & Family Physician
