What Causes Pain In Rectum While Coughing Or Clinching Butt Cheeks?

For a few weeks now I ve experienced pain in my rectum when I caugh or clinch my but cheeks together. Today, while showering I felt a pea size sack at the hole of the rectum and squeezed it..But the puss that was in it went inward and the sack deflated and went away...Now the pain is more present when I caugh or sit upright but not when I stand or walk. I m worried that it s now just sitting inside me and by me sweezing it it will get worse

Hello,

Your symptoms could be related to hemorrhoids. For this reason, I recommend consulting with your attending physician for a physical exam. It is also important performing a complete blood count to check for increased white blood count or anemia.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Ilir Sharka, Cardiologist
