What Causes Pain Below The Breast Bone?

Hello, 4 times over the past week I have experienced moderate abdominal pain. The pain is slightly below the breast bone and is relived by belching. Each episode has lasted 10 - 25 minutes. It was also 1 -2 hours after a meal. I noticed that the pain seemed to lessen and go away faster if I was active. Thank you for any help.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Possibly related to acid reflux from GERD or else as the symptoms are relieved when you are active and also after belching. Precise dietary precautions to avoid dairy fat, cholesterol, regular exercises, body weight maintenance are key factors to succeed in the issue. Also have to quit smoking and alcohol if consuming.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Purva Patel,
