What Causes Occasional Pulling Sensation On The Lower Lip?
I am a 64-yr. old woman with occasional on and off momentary mild pulling sensation on the lower lip for the past 2 days. I've never experienced this before. I'm on Diltiazem CD 120mg., Synthroid 0.75mg. and Crestor 5 mg.(not on a daily basis).
Thanks for your query . There can be many reasons for pulling sensation in lip . But in your case it seems to me that the sensation is occuring either as a side effect of crestor (muscle spasm ) or initial symptoms of bell's palsy .
Such kind of symptoms can also occur due to hypocalcemia . Bell's palsy ic paralysis of muscle of one side of face due to damage to facial nerve and muscles of other side start pulling paralyze muscles.
Usually bell's palsy go away by its own in 1-2 months . If it persist then medicines can be taken.
I would suggest you to consult your doctor for proper examination and treatment . Doctor may prescribe prednisolone or acyclovir for bell's palsy and can alter the dose of crestor or or substitute the medicine.
