Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..
I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..
As per your complain numbness on face can be due to a number of reasons like and as it has happened overnight there are chances that she slept in an abnormal position leading to greater pressure and inflammation of
Trigeminal nerve and its branches leading to numbing of face, it is a short lived condition and recovers gradually in a few days..
Other causes can be Pinched Nerve, Multiple Sclerosis,
Trigeminal Neuralgia,
Facial Palsy, Cancerous Tumours, Stroke ,Transient Ischemic Attacks, Shingles,Neuropathy,
Vitamin Deficiency etc..
You cannot self diagnose Multiple sclerosis or Trigeminal Neuralgia although trigeminal neuralgia can be some what diagnosed as it causes
electric shock like pain over one or both sides of face ..
You need to consult an Oral Physician and get evaluated and if there is no improvement found MRI, CT SCAN and blood investigations can help in ruling out the exact cause of the problem and treatment can be planned accordingly..
Hope this information helps..
Thanks and regards..
