Hi,

There can be many causes other than stroke for numbness over arm/forearm/hand. Few common ones are nerve entrapment or compression due to injury to bone, dislocations, conditions like cubital tunnel syndrome etc., however, these conditions will lead to numbness along the forearm or hand. If there is a problem extending up to neck then I would suspect some issue with the cervical spine like cervical spondylosis. Please get X-ray / MRI of cervical spine to rule it out.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
