Feels like 50 tiny needles stabbing my heart/chest area lasted for about 5-10 mins with slight shortness of breath on left- left center of chest. Been up for 36 hours due to being highway worker and bad weather.Just want to know if I should go to sleep or hospital.

Hello dear, thanks for your question on HCM.
I can understand your situation and problem.
As a rule any left suded chest pain, must be evaluated for cardiac cause.
Since you are having left sided chest needle pains with mild shortness of breath, better to rule out cardiac cause first.
So consult cardiologist and get done
1. Ecg
2. 2d echo.
If both are normal then no need to worry much for cardiac cause.
Anxiety can be the cause for this.
So you should definitely visit hospital and rule out cardiac cause first.
