What Causes Neck Pain, Headache And Sore Throat With Fever?

My son will be 5 on October 24th and weighs 50 lbs. He had a fever of 101.3, so I gave him 10ml of acetaminophen as per instructions on the box. 4 ot 5 minutes later he threw up EVERYTHING in his stomach, so I gave him 10ml again and his temp was 102.3 at this time. He s been complaining all day that his neck hurts and he has a headache. Just a few minutes ago, he sad his throat felt funny. He s been saying he feels funny for the last hour, but can t explain how. I m worried. Plus, he has asthma, but hasnn t complained about trouble breathing. I ve asked.

Hi,
I have gone through your query and understand your concerns.

Based upon the symptoms you have mentioned I can give you two possible diagnosis which are:

- Viral fever in which you will have headache,fever,body pains etc
- As he is small you must rule out meningitis also as he is having neck pain if there is stiff neck then this will be the important possibility.
Take him to a physician to ruleout the possible causes. Try to give him acetaminophen every 6th hourly to avoid high temperatures.
