What Causes Nausea, Lightheadedness, Dizziness And Lower Right Abdominal Pain?

I feel nausea, lightheaded, and tired. I feel as though I am going to faint, especially when I bend over. I am 7 months post op TAH total hysterectomy. I am still experiencing lower right abdominal pain, swelling that s getting better, and extreme fatigue sometimes. The pain normally is related to house work like vacuuming, washing my hair, or just regular non strenuous activities. For example, I washed dishes and prepared for my doctors appt. last Wednesday, afterwards I felt as though I would fall asleep at the wheel of my car, I was so lethargic when I got home that I slept on and off for the duration of the day. I never sleep during the day unless I am not well. In late May, I experienced a fever (fever blisters on cheek, inside nose, and on the lip), very heavy feeling in pelvic area, and pain in right abdominal, and shutting down from belly button, back of legs and buttocks. I slept from one day to the next because of the pain. CT scan showed nothing except small cyst in liver and full colon. Blood work / urine shows nothing. This area was sore during doctor s exam. What s wrong?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

You have a history of total abdominal hysterectomy, cyst in the liver. Post hysterectomy right sided abdominal pain can be due to infection, nerve injury or cutaneous nerve entrapment.

Avoid doing any heavy work to reduce the risk of any GI tract inflammation or injury. Commonly cyst in the liver does not cause pain but it may if it grows in size. Avoid fried food, uncooked food, carbonated drinks, packed food, oysters & clams.

Cut on alcohol & addictions if any. General weakness may cause nausea, dizziness & light headedness. Take nutritious food that is easily digestible. Take small amounts multiple times a day.

Hope I have answered your question. Take care. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Nupur K, General & Family Physician
