What Causes Nausea, Fatigue And Pain In The Kidney?

I have been fighting some type of virus resulting in nausea, dry heaves, fatiguei and upper abdominal pain to back kidney area. On day 5, I visited my GI doc, and ultrasound of abdominal should no significant abnormalities other than fatty liver . Blood work amylase, lipase, and liver enzymes normal. However, CBC showed Hgb 19.4, Hct 56.2, RBC 6.41. Is this indicative of polycythemia or possibly just temporary elevated results due dehydration? If my CBC results repeat next week, and I may well indeed have PV, can my original symptoms, especially fatigue be a result of PV? I am a 61 male. Thanks!
