What Causes Nausea, Body Ache, Stomach Pain And Diarrhea?

I ve never had all the symptoms of a high fever without the actual fever but I do right now. I feel nauseous, my body hurts (started in my legs this morning), I was shivering this morning by the time I came home from work (left due to not feeling well) and I had diarrhea last night and this morning. I took a nap and feel no better except like a fever just went down. Thing is, by body temp when I went to sleep was 98.1 and when I woke feeing a little better, it was at 100.7. Not high. I feel like I have the flu but my concern is that there is no fever but my stomach and body ache. I haven t had many flus but when I do I always have a temperature when I m feeling like this. Can you have a flu without a fever?

Hello,
The answer for your question is yes, you can have a viral infection that doesn't present with fever.
If its bacterial you would develop a fever.
You can try symptomatic measures like keeping yourself well hydrated, take plenty of fluids. If you have body pain Tylenol or ibuprofen can help. The stomach ache will subside on its own once your normal bowel functioning resumes.
Never try using anti diarrheal drugs or anti motility drugs for diarrhea in your case.
If your temperature is above 100 even now, then its kind of mild fever and its essential that you find out what the infection is as bacterial infection requires more therapy like antibiotics than viral.
Despite all these if your symptoms worsens or persists then its advisable to get evaluated by your pcp.
