What Causes Nasal Blockage And Rashes On The Buttocks Of An Infant?
Hello doctor My daughter is now 8 months old She s have rigors all day morning ,before waking up she sounds like some secretion is blocking her nose .I m giving ascoril ls and atarax daily night . Another problem is she suddenly got rashes over ass and over her urinal area and also having small skin peelings. I m worried a lot
Hello Dear. Nasal blockage in your child may be due to upper respiratory infection. You can put nasoclear nasal drops into the nostril, one drop to both nostrils, three times a day. In case the blockage and secretions doesnot subside with ascoril, atarax and nasoclear nasal drops the child may require antibiotics like amox dry syrup or amoxclav syrup. Any case kindly consult pediatrician and do not go for self medication.
Rashes over buttocks and genital area may be due to fungal infection. Keep the part always dry. Once the child urinates, change the diper and put new clothes. Dont let that part to remain wet. Kindly go to the pediatrician who may prescribe antifungal cream like candid cream.
Hope i have answered your question. Feel free to contact me if you have any more questions. I ll be glad to help you. All the best With warm regards Dr Sanjay Kini
