have been having nosebleeds iam 55 started as one time then 3weeks then one week now everyday sometimes 2/3 times aday i do concrete blockwork went to gp blood pressure little high been checking some times spikes went to ear nose thoat doctor pressure was high would not do anything.Some times wakes me up bleeding.
Thanks for your question on Healthcare Magic. I can understand your concern. You are having epistaxis (bleeding from nose). At your age, common causes for epistaxis are 1. Hypertension 2. Nasal pathology like polyp, mass 3. Blood coagulation defect. Since you are hypertensive, strict control of hypertension is needed. Also get done CT scan of nose and Paranasal sinuses to rule out mass or polyp in nose. Also get done blood reports like platelet count, prothrombin time (PT), activated partial thromboplastin time (APTT). So consult your doctor and discuss all these. Hope I have solved your query.
