What Causes Nasal Bleeding And Sensing Sweet Smell?
I have 2 symptoms that may be unrelated. After I eat, my nose runs and each time I dab my nose with a tissue there is fresh blood but only a very small amount - I never have a bloody nose. My main concern is that I smell sweet smells during the day; cotton candy or other bakery type smells. They are not bothersome but it is just curious!

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have nasal bleeding and sensing sweet smell which could be allergic reaction , injury to the nose, repeated sneezing , upper respiratory infection and medicine like blood thinners. Cough and sweet smell can also occur due to sinusitis and post nasal drip. Need not to worry much. I would suggest you to visit ENT specialist once and get it examined. You should go for pulmonary function tests as well to check exact level of infection. You need inhaled bronchodilators and antihistamine drug. Doctor may also order CT scan or nasal endoscopy .You should get X-ray chest done as well to find out exact level of infection. You should avoid intake of cold carbonated liquids. avoid diet rich in fried and oily food. Take soft and bland diet. Take diet rich in multivitamins and vitamin C. You should take cough expectorants as well. You should use mist humidifiers in room. Sweet smell can also occur due to diabetes so also go for blood sugar level test .
