What Causes Multiple Breast Cysts After Using Mirena IUD?

Hello, I have just been diagnosed with multiple breast cysts, one large cluster and other smaller cysts across both breasts. I have had a mirena in place for two years and have experienced weight gain, acne and hair growth. Is it possible the cysts are also associated with the Mirena?

Hi, I have gone through your question and understand your concerns. Breasts cysts are unlikely to occur due to Mirena IUD. Breasts cysts occur due to high concentration of earrings the body, whereas Mirena contains only progesterone hormone.
Acne, weight gain can occur due to excessive progesterone in the body.
Hope you found the answer helpful.
Wishing you good health.
