What Causes Mouth Ulcers And Tight Sensation In The Chest?
Ok. I have a cold but my tongue it sore and white. My chest feels tight but no real mucus. My upper lip and around the nose feels tingly or numb. I am concerned about my heart. It there any reason to be concerned? My breathing does not feel as deep as it should be.

Hello,
Well, as you have cold. Chest tightness can be due to it causing congestion and shallow breathing. White and sore tongue can be due to yeast infection known as oral thrush. The symptoms does not look like any cardiac problem but in case of doubt you should always get it checked.
For cold gargle with a warm saline solution that is by mixing 1 teaspoon salt in a glass of water and warm it to make a luke warm solution.
Take a combination of decongestant like Phenylephrine, Mucolytic like Ambroxol and anti allergic Levocetrizine and another combination of Acetaminophen and Ibuprofen. Do steam inhalations. Avoid spicy and chilled foods. Sip on warm water throughout the day. For thrush you can do Nystatin mouthwash gargles and suck Clotrimazole lozenges and clean your tongue using a tongue scraper.Drink plenty of water.If there is no improvement in a week consult an Emergency room and get evaluated.
