General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Probably this is not due to the antibiotics and ongoing medicines but rather due to the primary brain pathology. Brain tumors may present with psychotic symptoms that resemble schizophrenia which can lead to misdiagnosis. Psychosis and forgetfulness secondary to a brain tumor are common, hard to accurately diagnose and harder to treat. Patients with neurological diseases often suffer from sleep disturbances too. Insomnia among adult brain tumor patients has usually been studied as part of quality-of-life studies.

Please discuss the issues with her treating clinician.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. AJEET SINGH, General & Family Physician
