What Causes Mood Swings And Depression While On Levothyroxine?
I am 45 I was 15 when I was told I had thyroid cancer I had 4 malignant tumors I have been on levothyroxine .075 for awhile now my problem is my moods swings I cry all the time or angry this has to stop I feel like I am going to make my family leave could it be the mess or is it just me I don t have ins no more
It is one of the common problems with intake of Levothyroxine. Before looking for any other causes of mood changes, it would be pertinent investigate the thyroid function tests. Usually people on levothyroxine are advised to visit their physician regularly so that the level of thyroid harmine can be checked.
I would recommend you to see your physician so that he/she can properly investigate this problem. It could be that the dose of levothytoxine is high, in which case your physician will adjust the dosage.
I hope this answer helps. Please let us know if you have any other questions. Have a nice day.
Sincerely, Dr. Waqas Hayat
