Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hello, I ve recently noticed some very mild itching on the tip of the inside of my urethra. No discharge of any sort and it has not gotten worse. Urinating seems to be the only to ease the itch but the relief is short lived as it comes right back. I ve only had unprotected oral sex about 2-3 weeks ago, but that s it. Any help is appreciated.
This could be a urinary tract infection. It is advisable to consult a physician for : 1. Urine analysis and culture sensitivity. If i was your treating physician i would recommend: Antibiotics like Tablet ciproflloxacin tinidazole combination twice daily for 7 days. Tablet paracetamol 500mg thrice a day if there is associated fever. Drink lots of water to wash out toxins. Kindly make sure condoms are used from now on to prevent infections.
Hope this helped. Regards, Dr.Riyanka
