I am 54 forty pounds overweight woman who is fairly active. I have not had any pain or problems and I am post menopausal for 4 years. Today I had pink spotting when I wiped after going to the bathroom. I put in a tampon for about an hour and when I removed it, there was light pink on it. I have had some cloudly urine and a slight odor. I am scared

A speculum exam, a pap smear, vaginal and cervical swabs, sonogram of the pelvis preferably in the trans-vaginal route and urinalysis are needed. The fact that you have cloudy urine is suggestive of a possible infection. This can also cause the spotting if there is an associated vaginosis. Please do not worry, everything is treatable. Do not use a tampon. Instead, use a sanitary pad. Hope this helps.
