What Causes Lower Abdominal Pain And Nausea After Surgery Of Esophagus Cancer?
Ganaton tab is given to my husband after treating him with ulcer.Which was caused after 4 months of esophagus cancer surgery.Before that they had given nexium for 3 months and now ganaton he is experiancing vomiting n lower abdomenal pain once he starting nexium. He is now taking ganaton 3 times a day.But no improvment in vomiting and pain. Please sugest.He is on liquid diet.
Hi. Thanks for your query and an elucidate history. You have not mentioned exactly what type of surgery was done hence it will be difficult to say the reason as well as the treatment . Yet to guess, this looks to be a stricture of the anastomotic site , where the part of the GI system are reconnected after removal of the disease.
I would advise you the following: Upper GI endoscopy to see for the stricture, ulcer, regrowth of cancer and so on. Barium studies to elaborate on this point. Once the diagnosis is made, the treatment will depend upon the reports. , Which may be continuation of the treatment and may be dilatation .
