What Causes Low Urine Output?

I am a residential supervisor for a group home. One of my clients is a 62 year old woman who has been on oxybutynin for at least 6 years for occasional incontinence during the day. She is exhibiting less output of urine during the day, lately, and when waking in the evening she hardly urinates at all. she was tested for a UTI and it was negative. What should I be looking for, if anything, as far as dehydration goes or anything related?

Hello,

Less fluid intake can cause less urine output. Also renal failure or heart failure or hypoproteinemia or drugs like NSAIDS intake may reduce the urine output.

Get a complete blood picture, serum creatinine, cardiac function and liver function done. Consult your physician, he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
