What Causes Low Estrogen Level After Stopping Breastfeeding?

Hello, I am 32, stopped breastfeeding my son 3 months ago at 2.5 years old and had a miscarriage at that time after trying to conceive for a year, now not ovulating and estrogen levels very low, all other hormones normal. Why is the estrogen staying low after stopping breastfeeding and what can I do to ovulate??

Hi dear,
I have gone through your question and understand your concerns.
Low estrogen and anovulation can be present in many hormonal disturbances like hypothyroidism, hyperprolactemia and polycystic ovarian disease.
These disorders also cause difficulty in conceiving.
I will suggest you to get your hormonal profile done including thyroid hormone, prolactin hormone levels and ultrasound to confirm the diagnosis.
If anovulation is there, then the ovulation induction with drugs like clomiphene citrate can be given to facilitate ovulation and hence conception.
Hope you found the answer helpful.
