What Causes Low Cold Body Temperature?

Hello, Lately I find that I am always cold. I didn t always have this problem, but even as spring has started, my issue has become worse. I exercise and therefore try to keep a balanced diet and I take supplements (biotin, silica, vitamin B6, vitamin B12 and a lot of others). I am mostly always cold on my feet, and even just the slightest breeze on a spring day makes me cold. What could this be? I am 21 years old, I weigh around 120 pounds and my height is about 5 2

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Different people have different temperature tolerance levels. If this is a new development for you, I would suggest getting thyroid function tests done as a start. Hypothyroidism can occasionally present as being intolerant to cold temperatures.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Pranav Balakrishnan, General & Family Physician
