What Causes Loss Of Voice?
Hello. I ve lost my voice on and off for the last 6 months. I went to an ENT Dr. that told me that one of my vocal cord is paralyzed that could have been from a stroke. I do have mirena, but haven t had any problems with it. Could this be the problem? Should I call my OB/gyn?

Mirena is an intrauterine device containing progestrin. There is no any such side effect or progestrin which causes loss of voice. I think your doctor might be very right because one of the most common causes of loss of voice is stroke or paralysis of vocal cords.
I would advice you to visit an ENT doctor to perform indirect Laryngoscopy to look at vocal cords, and if that was normal, then proceed for imaging like CT to look for any mass or tumor, which can rarely present with these symptoms.
