Hi, thanks for using healthcare magic

The symptom that you are describing is called vertigo and there are different causes though it is most commonly associated with the inner ear.

The inner ear conditions that can cause vertigo are: (1) vestibular neuronitis- in this case, there may be a history of recent infection and the vertigo tends to be present for hours at a time

(2) BPPV ( benign paroxysmal positional vertigo)- in this case, the vertigo/spinning lasts for a few seconds to minutes and is more likely with certain positions of the head.
This may be the case for you

(3)Meniere's disease- the vertigo lasts for mins to 1 hour approx, occurs with hearing loss and tinnitus (abnormal sounds in the ear)

Based on your description, BPPV may be present. This can be diagnosed in your doctor's office and he or she can also show you the epley maneuver which is used to help treat this condition

I hope this helps
