Hello,

Normal menstruation should be less than 7 days and bleeding about 30cc to 80cc per period of time.

Your age and the symptom for my practice I always do pregnancy test then I will find out another possible diagnosis can be uterine fibroids and perimenopause.

There are many another differential diagnosis such as dysfunctional uterine bleeding, endometrial polyps, endometrial cancer, uterine sarcoma, pregnancy, ovarian tumor, pelvic masses.

Perimenopause symptoms: irregular periods and other symptoms include dry, thinning skin, hair loss or thinning, hot flashes or a sudden overwhelming sense of heat, insomnia, night sweats, sudden unexplained mood swings, trouble concentrating, urinary urgency, vaginal dryness, weight gain.

A woman in perimenopause may also notice changes in her menstrual cycle, such as worsening of her premenstrual symptoms.

Uterine fibroids are noncancerous growths of the uterus. You can have a single fibroid or multiple ones. Many women have uterine fibroids sometime during their lives.

But most women dont know they have uterine fibriods because they often cause no symptoms.

In those that do have smptoms can be influenced by the location, size and number of fibroids.

The symptom is menstrual periods lasting more than a week, heavy menstrual bleeding, pelvic pressure or pain, frequent urination, difficulty emptying bladder, constipation, back pain.

If the symptom worse like affect your red blood cell loss or too big or painful surgery is an indication. Otherwise uterine fibroid no need to do anything.

If you have a heavy bleeding and long-lasting periods you need to see your doctor or gynecologist.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
