General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

I understand your concern.

Your ankylosing spondylitis has affected the root of the nerve passing nearby. This explains the pain you are feeling.
Immediate consultation with neurologist is recommended together with MRI of spinal cord to locate the compressed nerve and see if surgery can help.

Meanwhile, avoid moving, and take oral pain killers you find over the counter until final treatment by your doctor.

Wish fast recovery.
