It is possibly a spasm of the muscle which can be instigated even by a trivial trauma or sudden movement from rest to get something. What should you do ? I would suggest you the following for your sister. -First of all ask her to lay in the bed without any movements to get a full rest. Give her any analgesic if you have. Shift her to ER or a Hospital for : Actual physical examination by a Surgeon so that a proper clinical evaluation can be done to get a clinical diagnosis , to get a proper order for which investigations to be done and proper treatment. Investigations needed may be high resolution ultrasonography of the abdomen and abdominal wall .
