What Causes Joint Pain Post Pneumonia Vaccination?

I received a flu shot and a pneumonia 23 vaccination. The next day I experienced a sore arm from the pneumonia shot. By that afternoon I had joint aches and felt horrible. The next day got worse. The next night I had severe fever and chills that I couldn t sleep. 48 hours later I am still weak, have fevers off and on, chills, headache. Should I be alarmed?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

As first-line management, you can take analgesics like paracetamol or aceclofenac for pain relief.

It is a transient reaction and will settle by itself.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
