What Causes Itchy Rashes On The Bottom Of The Foot

I have 2 almost like raised rashes one on the bottom of my foot and the other on the side. That are quit itchy and have little like blisters. My boyfriend said its poison ivy but my mom said it s athletes foot . I don t know it s pretty gross and hurts

hi. I have read your question and understand your concern.

itchy red rashes can be either due to fungal infection or eczema. but blisters are commoner in eczema.

if such a patient visited my clinic I would do a fungal scraping to confirm my Diagnosis and then treat accordingly. scraping is a small office procedure. it's painless and takes only few minutes.

the treatment for eczema and fungal infection are totally different, so we cannot start you on treatment till we have a definite Diagnosis.


I suggest you visit your dermatologist and discuss about getting a scraping done. meanwhile you can take tab cetrizine for symptomatic relief.
