What Causes Itchy Rashes All Over The Body While On Hydrocodone?

I am having back surgery in 13 days. I am in severe pain. I was initially prescribed Tylenol 3 then Hydrocodone and now have been taking Dilaudid. When I changed to Hydrocodone I broke out in a very red spotty rash on lower legs and lower arms. Very little itching on the rash but I itch a lot all over my body, especially my scalp. My hair is falling out at an alarming rate, thank God I had a lot. The thinning is becoming quite noticeable now. My primary question is, could I be allergic to the Tylenol and not the other ingredient in the Hydrocodone?

Hello dear, welcome to Ask a doctor service.
I reviewed your query and here is my advice.
I think you are suffering an allergic reaction to hydrocodone.
You can take an antihistamine like ceterizine or benadryl and go to ER for prednisone and adrenaline injections.

Hope I have answered the question.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
