What Causes Itching On The Navel?

What causes the skin on my button to itch? I m a 65 yr old female. I was treated for E. coli bladder infection as in patient the first of the month. I think it has returned because I urinate and feel I could go again. But of course I can t. I also have MS.

itching may be due to yeast infection, eczema, hives, contact dermatitis from piercing ,some bacterial infections,using lotions and soaps.this part of button is moist and warm where more chance of infection by bacteria and micro organism.rashes around umbilicus or infection can cause itching.so,keep clean the area around umbilicus.you can apply antifungal and antibacterial cream or lotion for prevent itching.wash the area with the help of leuckwarm water to prevent the infection.
