What Causes Itching On Ears Along With Clear Drainage?

Hello, i have been struggling with itchy ears, along with clear drainage and somtimes it can be white in color with a strange odor other than earwax odor. Would i have an infection, this has been going on since i had a ear infection in both ears last summer-they both closed up and could not hear for two months.

Hi,
Welcome to health care magic.

It might be because of excess wax depositions in ear canal or otitis media or fungal infection etc.

You need to consult an ENT specialist who can examine your ears with complete medical history and can prescribe you below treatment.

You will require oral antibiotics (quinolones or cephalosporins group preferred) with analgesics and antiinflammatory with other supportive treatment like wax remover ear drops and antifungal tablet one dosage.

The important thing is to diagnose first means which problem causes repeated eat itching.

So,better to consult ENT specialist and get diagnosed first.

Don't worry you will be alright after that.

Regards,
