What Causes Itching Of Hands And Feet Post Bug Bite?

I have been working out in my yard today and had on shoes, socks and gloves. I was stung by something on my leg which I am assuming was a yellow jacket. I took a shower and now my hands and feet are itching like crazy. What would be causing the itching?

Dermatologist 's  Response
Hello,
Thank you for posting on HCM.
The condition you have referred to is called Papular Urticaria . Its an allergic manifestation of skin due to insect bites.

I would also advise you various anti-histaminics for short duration( atleast 7 days) with or without oral corticosteroids.
Apply soothing calamine lotion twice a day.
Avoid pricking and scratching of lesions.
Hope this will help you in resolving your query.
Thank you
