Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have itchy feet (top) and ankles. Thought I had flea bites even though I did not see any fleas or see a red bite mark so I treated my cat and bombed the house. It has been over a week and I still feel itchy. Is it possible I did get bit by fleas and I am somewhat allergic to them so I am still itchy. The itching feels like when you get a mosquito bite and it just drives you crazy.
Hello You probably have an allergic reaction, which could be caused by a flea bite or by using a topical product on your legs. Since you don't find any bite mark and if you don't have a fever, so the only treatment that you need is an anti-histamine medication. Make sure that you are not allergic to a product or a food that you consumed in the last days before the itching has been started, and make sure that you're not allergic to the cat's hair to avoid the possible cause in the future. Hope I answered your question Wish you a speedy recovery Best regards Dr. Noor Farid
