What Causes Itching Between The Thighs?

hi doc. i had gestational diabetes during last 2 months of pregnancy.bcoz of that,i was having itching between the thighs..post delivery and now,blood sugar is under control and i am not diabetic any more.even now,i have the itching...what shall i do??

Thanks for your query.
Noted the history and understood the concerns.
Itching in between the thighs is obviously due to fungal infection as you have gestational diabetes that instigated the skin changes.
Now, although the diabetes is controlled or cured the fungal infection still continues. To get a cure you will require the following:
First of all you will have to use loose clothing as good aeration in the area alone will evaporate the sweat that is the cause of continuation.
Check blood sugar regularly.
Consult your Doctor for prescription based medications.
Apply pure anti-fungal lotion locally.
Take an antibiotic is there is secondary infection.
Multivitamins and Vitamin A and D in therapeutic dosages if deficiency is shown on blood tests for good skin integrity.
If these measure fail, you may have to take oral anti-fungal medication for 12 weeks.
Take care and you will be fine provided you take a long course then only cure is possible.
