What Causes Itching And Burning Sensation In The Hands?

When I use my hands for sweeping, mowing the lawn or just assembling something my hands begin to itch, burn, hurt and raised whelps come up and my hand is hot to touch. Sometimes I can take Benadryl and it will take it away or just put me to sleep and then it goes away. Sometimes when it gets really bad the next day I will still have red tender spots where the whelps or irritation was.

Hi,
Welcome to Healthcaremagic.com.

I had gone through your question I can I can understand your concern about your itching and burning issue related your hands.

As per your history it seems to me you are prone to allergic dermatitis. This can be because of the stuff you touch, you need to sort out the particular item which causes the rash and itching problem.

You can use betamethezone cream or take antiallergic medication like levocitrizine in consultation with your doctor.

Hope the answer to your query and visit us back incase of further clarification needed.

Regards
Dr Muzaffer Hussain Parray.
