What Causes Itchiness In The Ankle And Feet?
hello doctor..! Im 22 years, male, student. I am having itch of lower legs below the knee upto the ankle, my skin over legs becomes scaly after the itch. I am also having itch over the perianal area from past six months.. I dont notice it when I m on any work... But I feel an urge to itch, sometimes I get tingling sensation in the perianal region and sometimes I can feel pulsating anus... what could be the cause, Please help me..

The perianal itching could be due to intestinal parasites residing there. Should run stool examination for ova/parasites to confirm the diagnosis and treat it adequately.
The presence of parasites could also explain the itching on your legs. However, a photo will help me understand better the changes there in order to guide you accordingly.
Another possibility is related to constipation. When constipated, the stool become hard and difficult to pass through rectum. This is associated with laceration of the rectum mucosa, which ends up with itching at the end of the regeneration stage.
For the moment, I advise to:
- try to avoid constipation
- apply calamine lotion on the itching area of the skin
- keep good anal and personal hygiene.
