What Causes Irregular Periods And Breast Soreness While HPT Is Negative?
Hello doc. I normally have very irregular periods and I haven t had my period in over three months now. I ve been having breast soreness for three weeks now. I m bloated and need to urinate frequently. Had home pregnancy test and its negative. What could be happening?
Hi, As you have very irregular periods, it is difficult to predict when and whether you have ovulated and hence, when to test for pregnancy, if at all. So, in the current scenario, you can get the blood test for pregnancy done to exclude/confirm pregnancy accompanied by a trans-vaginal sonogram to check the status of the pelvic organs. If pregnancy is excluded, investigation is needed to locate the cause of the irregular cycles. Complete hormone profile, blood counts and urinalysis apart from a detailed clinical exam by a specialist are needed to plan further management. Hope this helps.
