What Causes Irregular Menstruation While Planning To Conceive?
Hi.that I am married woman.I have irregular period.I took scan for that.I have pcod.and I took blood test.I don t have thyroid.but my lh level is 9.99.doctor given medicine for that.I have one doubt. What is the normal level in lh.my level is how much higher than the normal level. I am planning for my pregnancy.
I understand your concern that you want to conceive.
Normal range of LH level is 1.8 to 8.6 IU/L. Hence your LH level of 9.99 is little on the higher side. This could be caused due to your underlying condition PCOD.
1. Weight loss through a low-calorie diet combined with moderate exercise activities. 2. Regularize your menstrual cycle by combination birth control pills — pills that contain both estrogen and progestin. 3. Medication to help you ovulate by administration of anti-estrogen drug Clomiphene with addition metformin to help induce ovulation. 4. Reduce excessive hair growth by decreasing androgen production by adding spironolactone. 5. Dietary changes in the form of low-carbohydrate diet.
Kindly consult Gynecologist in this regard for proper administration and management of your condition, so that it will help you to improve your chances to conceive.
Wish you all the best.
