What Causes Intermittent Pain In Right-sided Abdomen Below The Ribs?

I have intermediate pain in the area of my right side under my ribs. I had gastric bypass seven years ago and have kept off the weight. My gallbladder was removed at that time. The pain is an aching kind of sharp pain, sometime worse than other times. Not quite sure what this could be? Any ideas ?

Pain under ribs area of right side of chest may be due to gas and acidity. If, gall bladder is removed then you should take care tower your diet which is necessary. you should try to maintain a minimum intake. You can take tomatoes, garlic, brinjal, avocados, papaya, grapes, pears, berries, cucumber, and beetroots etc in diet. After removed gall bladder digestive system become weak and you should change your diet to avoid leaving undigested fat that will cause bloating, diarrhea and gas. This is because the bile produced by the liver is collected in the gallbladder and released while eating to help in the absorption and breakdown of fat. When you remove the gallbladder, the bile is less concentrated and drains into the intestine, affecting the digestion of fat-soluble vitamins and fat.
You should follow following precautions for keep away from chest pain if it may be due gas and acidity problem.
Eat more vegetables, fruits and whole grains, but include small amounts of fish, non fat poultry and non fat dairy products in every meal.
Your body needs a lot of nutrition and therefore you should eat small and frequent meals.
Increase intake of fiber in your diet to normalize bowel movements. It is best to slowly increase the fiber intake in your diet to avoid gas and cramping.
Choose low-fat and non fat foods.
Avoid high-fat, greasy foods.
Other causes chest pain in right side may be be due to infections in lungs and muscular related pain. First follow precautions for gas and acidity problems. If still problem remain same then get a chest x-ray and share your reports for further management.
