What Causes Intermittent Dizziness Long After Treating Bone Spur In The Neck?

I have been experiencing lightheadness and dizziness off and on for about six months thinking it was sinus issues! I was x rayed four years with a bone spur in my neck with no problems of this bothering me! Here recently I wake up off and on with sore neck thinking I slept on pillow wrong! Is it possible a bone spur in my neck can cause quite a bit of dizziness and lightheadedness?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

The symptoms seem less likely to be due to bony spur however repeat cervical spine X-ray to look for any signs of cervical spondylosis should be done. Also signs of nystagmus, cerebellar examination as well as maneuver to look for benign position paraxysmal vertigo should be done.
Serum electrolytes, sugars and Thyroid levels may also be needed to look for any systemic cause of dizziness.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further. Wishing you a speedy recovery.

Regards,
